Attack of the Blogs in Missouri; Blog World explodes with accusations of Texas Republicans active in Missouri

Earlier this week the KC Blue Blog reported that another political blog - Missouri Political News Service (not to be confused with MPN which began operating 3 months prior) - is run out of Houston, Texas and charged that it was a "fake Republican" news site.

What's the big deal? Developers from Texas have already donated $300,000 to Gov. Matt Blunt's reelection campaign. But there's more to this story.

Scooter Jackson, the Republican editor of the blog in question and a first year law student at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, responded to KC Blue Blog's charges and denied he has received any compensation from Blunt's campaign.

"You liberals are a scream at conspiracy theories," Jackson said. "Also through their investigative reporting, they have determined that since I am an “Houston organization,” Governor Blunt’s Texas contributors are paying me to write stories, we guess."

A brief MPN investigation into the allegation confirms Jackson's website relays a certain conservative bias as is evidenced by the only ad on the site from the conservative anti-Missouri Plan Adam Smith Foundation.

Who should you believe? This is blog world, just pick a side. MPN predicts mainstream media will never print a single word about this skirmish. In the meantime the blog attacks between MOPNS, CCP, KC Blue Blogger and even between The Source and FiredUp Missouri will continue to put a whole new spin on Forbes' "Attack of the Blogs".

Editor's Note: The MPN editors and writers have always believed MOPNS was an attempt to replicate MPN with a conservative bias and to confuse readers and Internet searchers seeking MPN through the selection of an almost identical name.
