Koster voting habit not Democratic

If Democratic support can be measured by votes cast, then Sen. Chris Koster lags behind Republican colleagues in his Democratic sympathies.

An MPN study of party line votes in the Senate this year shows that Koster voted with the majority of Democrats just 11 percent of the time.

Three other Republicans exceeded Koster’s Democratic sympathies and one matched them precisely:
The study analyzed all roll call votes, including procedural, conducted in the Senate during the 2007 legislative session. The votes were then narrowed to all votes where the majority of Democrats voted differently than the majority of Republicans (n=82). All votes used in the study along with their respective page numbers and vote breakdowns can be found in the summary sheets available here.

This is amazing. So what makes Koster such a Democrat and how can he say he supported Democratic principles in the Senate??

Don't forget tell Koster "No Thanks You"

So, I wonder how often Koster and Bartle voted the same way.

Sure, this might be a sincere switch, but it's not one that was foreshadowed. It says a bit about a switch if nobody expects it until it happens and nobody can really explain it after it happens.

Here's the answer to the question from Anonymous Aug 5th 12:47 PM:

- Koster and Bartle voted together in 52 votes and voted against each other in 20. Another 10 votes are excluded due to the absence of either Bartle or Koster.

- In the votes where Bartle and Koster disagreed, Bartle voted with the Dem party line 11 times while Koster only sided with Dems 9 times.

This is awful. These were the votes when it mattered that Koster voted against Democrats. He chose the wrong road in the past, so where the hell is he going now?
