Former House Minority Leader Jeff Harris has won MPN's straw poll for the 2008 attorney general race. Harris pulled in 71 percent of the votes from 905 voters.
In a distant second was Rep. Margaret Donnelly who attracted 21 percent of the vote.
State Sen. Chris Koster received only 2 percent of the votes despite recent attention from a switch to the Democratic Party, although his party label remained as a Republican throughout the poll's duration.
Here are the results:
The poll was unscientific. Voting was open for one full week from July 31 to Aug. 6 at 7 a.m.

I voted for Jeff Harris in this straw poll. However, because online polls are never real accurate I don't really think this poll matters very much. I am not being critical of MPN for doing the poll because it is a neat kind of way for people to participate in the process.
Of course this is not a statistically valid poll, which should be obvious for many reasons. What is evident though is that Harris' campaign is well-organized and on the ball right now, in contrast to Koster and others.
