Poll shows healthcare top issue in Missouri; 3 in 4 want Medicaid restoration

A new poll from the Missouri Foundation for Health shows that healthcare is now the number one priority of Missourians, surpassing the economy.

The poll goes on to show that Missourians are greatly concerned about the adequacy of their own healthcare, but even more concerned about the uninsured and underinsured.

"The poll of 800 Missouri voters...also found that solid majorities would like to see the state restore cuts made to the Medicaid system, even if it means raising taxes, and that the majority of voters would prefer to see the state budget surplus used to restore the Medicaid cuts rather than provide a tax cut or be set aside to avoid future budget shortfalls," a press release said.
